Job summary

Arkema is seeking a Staff Environmental Specialist in Calvert City, KY to support and maintain environmental compliance programs at our manufacturing facility. You will ensure compliance with air, water, and waste management regulations and corporate standards, working with operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams.

The role emphasizes coordinating permits, conducting audits, and guiding capital projects while driving continuous improvement and environmental performance across the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant environmental, regulatory, or industrial experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret environmental regulations and apply them in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technical report writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies and corporate stakeholders.
• Analyze environmental data to ensure compliance with permits and regulations.
• Support ISO 14001 and other EMS requirements.
• Conduct environmental compliance audits and assessments.
• Provide guidance for engineering and capital projects, including permitting.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to site personnel.
• Coordinate reporting of environmental incidents and deviations.
• Develop and deliver environmental training programs.
• Interface with regulators, consultants, and corporate resources.
