Sphere 3 Environmental seeks an experienced Environmental Scientist to lead complex environmental compliance projects, audits, and regulatory strategies for oil and gas clients. You will act as a technical SME, mentor junior staff, and ensure all work complies with EPA, state, and local regulations.

You will oversee field investigations, site visits, and regulatory reporting, while coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors to deliver technically sound solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 3+ years in environmental science, regulatory compliance, or environmental consulting, oil and gas experience a plus.
• Deep knowledge of federal/state regs (EPA, TCEQ, RRC, NMED, NMOCD, etc.) and practical application.
• Proven ability to conduct site investigations, write complex reports, and negotiate with agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate data into client/regulator guidance.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with GIS and environmental data management.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Lead environmental compliance projects including permitting, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Act as SME on regulations for clients (EPA, TCEQ, RRC, NMED, NMOCD).
• Author permit applications, technical assessments, and agency letters.
• Design and oversee field investigations, audits, and sampling programs.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure QC across deliverables.
• Evaluate risks and develop mitigation strategies for projects.
• Define technical scopes, methodologies, and cost estimates for proposals.
• Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors for multidisciplinary projects.
