Job summary

Enviva seeks an Environmental Manager to oversee regulatory planning, reporting, and permitting for the ESE region across wood pellet facilities. You will collaborate with site EHS Managers and report to the Environmental Affairs Director to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

You will coordinate incident investigations, training programs, and environmental records while supporting the OEMS and working with third-party vendors for audits and permits.

Qualifications

• Federal and State environmental regulations knowledge (Clean Air Act/Water Act).
• Experience with air emissions permitting and stack testing.
• ISO 14001 or similar management systems knowledge.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility or construction site compliance with environmental requirements.
• Manage environmental investigations and escalate findings with recommendations.
• Develop and monitor environmental training and records for compliance.
• Administer environmental assessments, inspections, and audits.
• Manage permitting processes and vendor relationships for environmental tasks.
