Job summary

Corteva Agriscience in Midland, MI is hiring an Environmental Specialist to lead site environmental compliance improvements through the environmental compliance management system and to maintain the license to operate. You will partner with the EH&S Leader, CoE, and site leadership to ensure effective programs, data collection, testing coordination, and regulatory interpretation.

Responsibilities include managing permits, preparing for agency inspections, supporting audits, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in Environmental Health and Safety, a laboratory, or a manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of regulatory, permit, and company requirements for areas of responsibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel) and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for the site for environmental compliance.
• Coordinate, implement and optimize environmental management systems and programs across the site.
• Manage environmental permits including submittals for new/modified equipment and renewals.
• Lead response to agency requests and potential enforcement actions with data collection.
• Lead agency inspections and host inspectors on site.
• Participate in plant project reviews and risk assessments related to environmental matters.
• Coach and mentor environmental technicians and specialists.
