Job summary

Veolia Water New Jersey seeks a Senior Director of Environmental Compliance to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all environmental compliance programs, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. The role spans air, drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous materials, coordinating with Operations, Legal, Finance, and Corporate leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible environmental compliance experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience managing environmental professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a direct team of environmental professionals across VWNJ.
• Act as strategic liaison with external regulatory agencies.
• Provide oversight of compliance programs across federal, state, and local regulations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate impacts to leadership.
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of VWNJ’s environmental compliance systems.
• Oversee environmental permitting and reporting activities.
