Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering required.
• 4+ years of environmental experience, or 2+ years of environmental experience with Tyson Foods Environmental Trainee Program.
• Food production industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Wastewater Supervisor and Wastewater Operators.
• Create and implement environmental programs.
• Write compliance plans.
• Track KPIs for compliance.
• Develop and submit permit applications.
• Implement waste minimization programs.
• Ensure on-time reporting of all required compliance-based reports.
• Communicate any non-compliant issues.
• Lead location management to ensure compliance.
• Maintain relationships with local, state, and federal regulators.
• Support spill response activities.
• Under the Area Environmental Manager, organize, facilitate, analyze, and problem-solve on environmental compliance with the goal of zero environmental exceedances.
