Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking an Environmental Specialist to oversee environmental compliance on US-based projects. You will collaborate with construction teams to design and implement programs that meet federal, state and local requirements, while coordinating permitting, audits and training.

The role emphasizes field inspections, regulatory interpretation and rigorous documentation to minimize risk and keep projects on schedule. Travel to project sites across the US is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health, environmental engineering, environmental studies or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in environmental compliance.
• Experience in major construction or similar projects is a plus.
• Interest in environmental role within construction projects.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related software.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the environmental compliance for the Project by coordinating, managing and implementing project-wide environmental compliance programs and strategies.
• Identify, assess and reduce environmental risks to the company.
• Identify applicable environmental requirements at federal, state and local levels for the project.
• Identify and obtain applicable permits and manage as required in the Environmental Management System.
• Review and interpret environmental specifications and drawings.
• Prepare, update and implement site specific environmental plans and submit required reports.
• Develop a comprehensive compliance tracking matrix to capture all environmental requirements.
• Provide input to work plans and participate in meetings.
• Develop and conduct environmental protection and awareness training to staff at all levels.
• Communicate with field crews to ensure understanding of project environmental requirements.
• Perform and oversee field inspections and monitoring (water, waste, noise, etc.)
• Identify, document, report and develop corrective actions for environmental incidents.
• Liaise with environmental agencies and attend field visits with client and regulatory agencies.
