Job summary

DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY AND MILITARY AFFAIRS (DEMA) seeks a Compliance Program Manager-Central in Phoenix, AZ. Based at Papago Park Military Reservation, the role supports AZARNG environmental programs and ensures regulatory compliance across multiple facilities.

The CPM-Central handles hazardous waste, air quality, wastewater, drinking water, spill response, and similar programs. Regular travel, field work, and training development are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EPCRA, SWPPP, SPCC and related environmental programs.
• Experience with Hazardous Waste, air quality, wastewater, drinking water programs.
• Ability to conduct field inspections and prepare compliance training.

Responsibilities

• Implement and report on overall compliance for AZARNG/AZDEMA.
• Provide technical expertise for management of hazardous waste, universal waste and other programs.
• Support SWPPP, SPCC, and Pollution Prevention plan implementation and reporting.
• Manage POL in compliance with 40 CFR Parts 112 and 279 at AZARNG installations.
• Assist other Compliance Program Managers at Southern and Northern Installations.
• Conduct weekly Central Accumulation Area inspections and field checks.
• Support Water and Wastewater/Aquifer Protection Permit compliance reviews.
• Coordinate funding and procurement for department trucks, equipment, and field visits.
• Deliver training and guidance tailored to each installation.
