Job summary

DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY AND MILITARY AFFAIRS (DEMA) seeks a Compliance Program Manager-South at Silverbell Army Heliport, Marana, AZ. The CPM-South supports AZARNG environmental programs, including hazardous waste, air and water quality, SWPPP/SPCC, and field inspections.

Travel within-state is required; the role emphasizes training, mentoring, and ensuring regulatory compliance across AZARNG Southern facilities. Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience in handling environmental compliance.
• Knowledge of EPCRA, NEPA and hazardous waste programs is required.
• Ability to conduct field inspections and prepare training materials.

Responsibilities

• Implements and reports on overall compliance for AZARNG/AZDEMA.
• Provides technical assistance in hazardous waste, air quality, water, and spill response.
• Develops and delivers compliance training.
• Conducts weekly inspections and supports field operations across southern installations.
• Manages funding and equipment for compliance activities.
