Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Summer 2027 Environmental Intern to apply academic knowledge in a professional setting at our Romeoville, IL distribution center. You will assist the Environmental Manager with regulatory reporting, hazardous waste management, and training initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced operations environment.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and participation in projects that strengthen environmental compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Enrolled in Environmental Science/Engineering/Geology/Biology/Chemistry or similar.
• Rising sophomore, junior, or senior preferred.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hazardous waste program management and regulatory tasks.
• Prepare compliance reports and site inspections.
• Support environmental audits and training initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance programs and reporting.
