Job summary

Waste Resource Management in Houston, TX is seeking a motivated Environmental Compliance Intern to support regulatory tracking, reporting, and field activities across our growing environmental services operations. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time as a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Biology, Chemistry, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be local to the Houston, Texas area

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental compliance tracking and documentation.
• Support regulatory reporting and permit compliance activities.
• Help conduct environmental inspections, audits, and site assessments.
• Review operational records to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, and preparation of compliance reports.
• Participate in safety meetings, environmental training sessions, and operational discussions.
• Support sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist with special projects related to environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare presentations and summaries for environmental and operational leadership.
