Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Vineland, NJ is seeking an Environmental Engineer to serve as the primary environmental compliance owner for the facility. You will develop and implement strategies to ensure regulatory compliance, permit management, and risk reduction, while aligning with corporate requirements.

Health and safety support may be provided based on site priorities. The role involves leading ISO 14001 processes, overseeing air and wastewater permits, hazardous waste programs, and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of environmental health and safety engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (air, water, hazardous waste) and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve the site's environmental management system (ISO 14001).
• Oversee environmental compliance activities (monitoring, inspections, testing, reporting).
• Manage site environmental permits and programs (Title V, NJPDES, stormwater, hazardous waste).
• Support hazardous waste compliance (waste determinations, training, reporting).
• Provide environmental guidance and training to employees and leadership.
• Assist with incident investigations and risk reduction initiatives.
• Serve as environmental contact for inspections and audits.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Sustainability, and regulators.
