Job summary

Leonardo Helicopters in Philadelphia seeks an Environmental Compliance Specialist to lead the site's ISO 14001 program and manage air, water, and waste regulatory obligations. The role also entails incident investigations, data reporting for sustainability, and training supervisors across operations.

The position requires at least 3 years of environmental compliance experience and a BS in Environmental Studies or related field.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in environmental compliance.
• Regulatory experience with EPA, DEP and Philadelphia regulations.
• Experience working in an ISO 14001 management system.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and achieve an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Update and maintain a fully compliant environmental compliance program for air, waste, water.
• Update and maintain the Preparedness, Prevention and Contingency (PPC) Plan.
• Train supervisors on regulations and requirements and audit their performance.
• Manage environmental training of employees.
• Ensure all environmental documentation is generated, filed, and submitted as required by each governing authority.
• Coordinate data collection and submission of reporting data for corporate environmental and sustainability reports.
• Oversee all environmental incident investigations and forward reports to the EHS Manager.
• Work with senior LHUSC staff on compliance program implementation.
• Respond to federal, state, and local authority inquiries.
• Manage the Hazardous Waste program.
• Manage the Residual/Non-Hazardous/Universal Waste program.
• Manage all sampling and reporting required for air, water and waste compliance programs.
