Job summary

Boston Beer Co. is seeking a motivated Environmental Health & Safety Co-op to join our team at the Breinigsville, PA Brewery. You will support environmental compliance, safety reviews, and risk reduction initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

The six-month program runs January 4, 2027 through June 25, 2027, and involves collaboration with cross-functional partners to strengthen programs and documentation while promoting best practices across the brewery.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
• Must remain enrolled through the Co-op program.
• Strong attention to detail and an interest in environmental compliance and industrial safety.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Conduct environmental audits and inspections to identify noncompliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the preparation and submission of environmental reports.
• Maintain environmental compliance documentation, permits, and regulatory correspondence.
• Assist with environmental incident investigations and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with production teams to reduce workplace risks and improve safety practices.
• Create and update SOPs related to environmental compliance and workplace safety.
• Help develop environmental training programs for employees.
