Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is seeking a Claims Manager, Environmental P&C, to lead a team handling complex environmental, auto/transportation, and general liability claims.

Reporting to the Head of Primary Casualty Claims, Americas, you will set strategy, ensure disciplined claim handling, coach professionals, and partner with Underwriting, Actuarial, Legal and external counsel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Applicable state adjuster licenses required.
• Designations such as CPCU, AIC, or ARM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Environmental P&C claims professionals handling complex environmental, auto/transportation, and general liability claims.
• Oversee coverage analysis, investigation, liability and exposure evaluation, reserving, litigation strategy and resolution.
• Provide technical guidance on complex coverage matters and engage with counsel to achieve cost-efficient outcomes.
• Manage claim audits and ensure financial internal controls compliance across the team.
