Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a Civil/Environmental Professional Engineer in Texas to lead municipal solid waste and environmental infrastructure projects. You will manage planning, permitting, design, construction support, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior staff.

The role emphasizes client relations, business development, and technical leadership within a multidisciplinary team across Parkhill’s Southwest offices. PE licensure and 5+ years of experience are desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental/Biosystems related engineering field.
• Professional Engineer registration in TX, NM, or OK.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from planning and permitting through design, construction, and closeout.
• Manage municipal solid waste, environmental compliance, and related infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and oversee engineering reports, permit applications, plans, specs, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with TCEQ, NMED, ODEQ, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Develop grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion control, and site development designs.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
• Review work prepared by staff and provide technical direction.
• Mentor EITs and junior engineers.
• Support business development, proposals, client relationships, and project pursuits.
