The Analyst II role conducts standard chemical and/or biological tests and analyzes results to determine composition and properties, with responsibility for ensuring SOP alignment and data accuracy. Based in an accredited laboratory, the position involves data review, peer review, and potential QA collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2+ years of lab experience, or 6+ years with no degree.
• At least 2 years of professional ICP-OES and ICP-MS experience.
• Strong understanding of laboratory principles, terminology, practices and instrumentation.
• Ability to interpret data, record observations, prepare reports, and perform peer review.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples, standards, reagents, media, and samples for analyses.
• Utilize specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation to process and analyze samples.
• Perform equipment and instrumentation setup.
• Accurately record observations and data; perform data interpretation and peer review.
• Maintain logs, notebooks and equipment records; enter data into LIMS.
• Assist QA with SOPs and engage in peer reviews.
• May assist in test method development with guidance.
• Address sample backlog and maintain data integrity.
