TTI Environmental, Inc. seeks an Environmental Associate 2 for Northern NJ and NYC Metro. This full-time role offers flexible remote and in-person work, with work from home, client sites, and our Bloomfield, NJ office.

The ideal candidate will reside in Northern NJ or NYC’s five boroughs, possess 3–5 years of regional environmental experience, and have a related BS. Strong writing, communication, and self-management are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of regional environmental consulting and due diligence experience (ASTM E1527).
• Knowledge of New Jersey environmental regulations, permitting, and related programs.
• BS in an environmental-related field; driving ability and clean record helpful.
• OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence projects (TSA, Phase I/II ESAs, RSRA) per ASTM standards.
• Perform field activities and report on regulatory cases in NJ/NYC Metro.
• Sample soil, groundwater, vapor, and indoor air for assessments.
• Prepare reports compliant with state regulatory requirements.

Environmental Associate 2 – Northern NJ and NYC Metro

TTI Environmental, Inc. is an integrated environmental services contractor and consulting firm serving government, industrial, commercial, academic, financial, and private clients nationwide. Headquartered in Moorestown, New Jersey, TTI’s team of experienced, certified, and licensed professionals work directly with clients to provide sound solutions to environmental challenges.

TTI is seeking a motivated professional to join our Environmental Consulting Division as a full-time Environmental Associate 2. The ideal candidate will reside in Northern New Jersey or one of the five boroughs of New York City. This position offers a flexible remote and in-person work environment, with work performed from home, at client sites, and at TTI’s regional office in Bloomfield, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Due diligence projects including TSAs, Phase I/II ESAs, RSRA in accordance with ASTM International standards
• Performance or oversight of field activities and appropriate reporting for regulatory cases in New Jersey and the NYC Metro region
• Sampling of soil, groundwater, vapor, and indoor air
• Reporting in accordance with state regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of direct regional experience in the environmental consulting and due diligence field (direct experience with ASTM E1527)
• Experience with New Jersey environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and applicable state environmental programs
• B.S. in a related field such as Environmental Geology, Environmental Science, Geological Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or Environmental Engineering
• OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operator Certification a plus
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to self-manage in a remote position
• Ability to independently develop and write proposals
• Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with ability to write clear, concise, and thorough environmental reports
• Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites when required and maintain a clean driving record
• Must reside in Northern NJ or the NYC Metro region
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Salary: $65,000–$85,000, based on qualifications and experience. Salary increases based on certifications earned and/or performance may be rewarded more often than annually.
