Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems.
Support and collaborate with project staff during site assessment and remediation field tasks.
Implement field investigations including air, soil gas, soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater sampling programs under the direction of an LSRP, registered Professional Geologist or Engineer.
Implement remedial activities and conducting system operation and maintenance at commercial and industrial sites.
Work efficiently within deadlines, both independently and on project teams of projects of various sizes and scope.
Oversee drilling to evaluate subsurface conditions, characterize soil, collect samples, and/or install groundwater wells.
Oversee subcontractors (e.g., drilling, excavation) and prepare detailed field reporting.
Complete data analysis including preparation and interpretation of maps, tables, and figures.
Prepare technical reports, plans, specifications, and permits.
Adhere to and implement corporate health and safety standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Full-time, Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours). Occasionally extended hours may be required based on project and/or client needs.
Work will be performed primarily in a field setting and occasionally in an office setting.
Site investigation and remediation on commercial, industrial and vacant properties as a result may include work in various environmental factors (weather, terrain, noise, etc.). This can include remaining stationary for long periods of time, walking, bending, lifting, sitting for field activities.
Office based tasks will include extended periods sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer.
Target salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 annually. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
