Job summary

TTI Environmental, Inc. is seeking a motivated Environmental Associate 1 for Northern NJ and NYC Metro, with a flexible remote/in-person work setup. The role supports due diligence projects, field sampling, and reporting from home, client sites, and our Bloomfield, NJ office.

Ideal candidates reside in Northern NJ or NYC area and possess related BA/BS and relevant certifications. The position offers growth into higher Environmental Consulting roles, a dynamic team, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of direct regional experience in environmental consulting and due diligence (ASTM E1527)
• B.S. in a related field such as Environmental Geology, Environmental Science, Geological Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering
• OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operator Certification a plus
• Excellent computer skills
• Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with ability to write clear, concise, and thorough environmental reports
• Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites when required and maintain a clean driving record
• Must reside in Northern NJ or the NYC Metro region
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Due diligence projects including TSAs, Phase I/II ESAs, RSRA in accordance with ASTM national standards
• Perform field activities and appropriate reporting for regulatory cases in New Jersey and the NYC Metro region
• Sampling of soil, groundwater, vapor, and indoor air
• Reporting in accordance with state and regulatory requirements

TTI is seeking a motivated professional to join our Environmental Consulting Division as a full-time Environmental Associate 1. This position provides an opportunity for the right individual to grow and settle into higher level positions within the Environmental Consulting career field. The ideal candidate will reside in Northern New Jersey or one of the five boroughs of New York City. This position offers a flexible remote and in-person work environment, with work performed from home, at client sites, and at TTI's regional office in Bloomfield, NJ.

Salary: $50,000-$60,000, based on qualifications and experience. Salary increases based on certifications earned and/or performance may be rewarded more often than annually.
