Job summary

Emplify Health by Gundersen Hillsboro is seeking an Environmental Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. You will support daily operations through cleaning, waste disposal, and attention to detail in a mission-driven health care setting.

This role emphasizes collaboration with the health care team, safety awareness, and dependable service in a rural community hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred.
• Strong dependability, problem solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and use time effectively.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and excellent customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with health care team members to provide waste disposal and cleaning services.
• Demonstrate dependability, problem solving, teamwork, organization, and effective time management.
• Report incidents, maintenance concerns, housekeeping issues, and painting issues to the Environmental Services supervisor.
• Provide indirect patient care by cleaning.
• Follow safety guidelines related to body mechanics, hazardous materials, and personal protective equipment.
