Job Overview

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store and find what they’re looking for.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
• May require mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high traffic areas.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.

Other Duties (as assigned)

• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain standing for long periods of time; move throughout the store; regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching; lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment; work in a public retail store setting including nights, weekends, early mornings; use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals.

Work Environment

Public retail store setting; climate controlled for most areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work if assigned; frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
