Job summary

Ramboll in Baton Rouge is seeking a motivated Student Worker/Intern to assist Project Managers and Consultants on environmental investigation/remediation, compliance, health and safety, sustainability, and due diligence projects within the Environment & Health practice.

You will grow professionally with support from experienced managers while contributing to innovative, sustainable solutions for clients and the environment. This is a part-time internship based in our Baton Rouge office.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be working on a BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or other related environmental science discipline.
• Strong computer skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing.
• Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret environmental regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Preparing emissions calculations.
• Conducting research on current environmental regulations and technologies.
• Assisting in preparing deliverables such as permit applications and environmental impact reports to clients and governmental agencies.
• Generating application forms and spreadsheets.
• Delivering permitting actions to local government agencies.
• Completing administrative tasks.
• Special projects as directed.
