Job summary

Ramboll in Baton Rouge is seeking a motivated Student Worker/Intern to assist Project Managers and Consultants on environmental investigation/remediation, compliance, health and safety, sustainability, and due diligence projects within the Environment & Health practice.

You will grow professionally with support from experienced managers while contributing to innovative, sustainable solutions for clients and the environment. This is a part-time internship based in our Baton Rouge office.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be working on a BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or other related environmental science discipline.
• Strong computer skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing.
• Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret environmental regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Preparing emissions calculations.
• Conducting research on current environmental regulations and technologies.
• Assisting in preparing deliverables such as permit applications and environmental impact reports to clients and governmental agencies.
• Generating application forms and spreadsheets.
• Delivering permitting actions to local government agencies.
• Completing administrative tasks.
• Special projects as directed.

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $20 to $25 hourly. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
