Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Position Overview

The Environmental, Health, & Safety Manager is responsible for operational activities required to meet the site Safety Plan. This includes facilitating the flow of health & safety information, completing safety projects, audits, and inspections across multiple locations. The role involves 25% national travel with oversight of 4 locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the plant safety plan.
• Participate in incident and emergency response, investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Partner with employees and supervisors to investigate incidents and identify root causes.
• Gather and report safety and environmental metrics.
• Lead plant safety programs and committees.
• Conduct safety and environmental risk assessments and audits.
• Manage workers’ compensation programs, including RTW and reporting.
• Administer near miss reporting and corrective processes.
• Oversee employee PPE supply and distribution.
• Communicate safety issues and updates within the plant.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training as required.
• Perform safety inspections (LOTO, Confined Space, Machine Guarding, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations through recordkeeping and administration.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of direct EH&S experience in manufacturing, or
• Bachelor’s Degree in environmental or occupational health and safety or a related field with 3+ years of EH&S experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in food manufacturing highly preferred.
• Spanish bilingual skills highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA compliance in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with training and facilitation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Considerations

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is a plus.
