- Develop, manage, and review compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal and industry safety regulations.
- Create, update, and enforce organizational safety policies to promote a safe working environment.
- Oversee, assign, track, and report on all safety and regulatory training initiatives for employees.
- Administer workers' compensation cases, including coordinating medical appointments, case evaluations, light-duty assignments, reporting, and financial projections.
- Conduct hazard identification training, perform facility audits, propose and implement solutions, and maintain tracking and reporting systems.
- Manage the health and safety budget, including allocations for personal protective equipment (PPE), safety supplies, and first aid resources.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly safety program reports to leadership.
- Provide first aid and act as a medical first responder as needed.
- Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and manage case follow-up using incident analysis methods.
- Conduct safety evaluations for process or equipment changes.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management and leadership within a manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and industry standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).
- Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and processes.
- Expertise in hazard recognition and mitigation strategies.
- Certification or demonstrated experience in first aid, AED, and CPR.
- Proven leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and training programs.
