Job Title: EHS Program Manager

Aurubis, a global leader in non-ferrous metals and one of the largest copper recyclers worldwide, is seeking a strategic EHS Program Manager to join our team in Augusta. This role involves developing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs at our new US facility, working closely with corporate leadership to foster a zero-incident culture.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree required; candidates without a degree but with outstanding program-building experience may be considered
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, including safety program development and implementation
• Strong background in industrial hygiene and OSHA compliance; ISO 14001/45001 experience preferred
• Experience with incident investigation, EHS audits, and compliance reporting
• Effective leadership and collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindset
• Experience in heavy industrial or processing environments (metals, paper, chemicals)
• Willingness to work on-site in high-risk environments involving lead, molten metals, and heavy equipment
• Ability to travel to Europe, with the first year potentially including a European site visit
• No initial direct reports, but will collaborate with safety personnel and have indirect leadership responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Lead the development and strategic planning of EHS programs aligned with ISO standards and corporate objectives
• Partner with the on-site Field EHS Manager to design policies, procedures, and programs
• Develop site-specific training and ensure compliance tracking
• Oversee industrial hygiene initiatives such as noise assessments and lead exposure monitoring
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and implement improvements
• Coordinate with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies
• Support sustainability initiatives and emergency response planning
• Provide strategic guidance to the Environmental Manager and foster a safety-focused culture
