Job summary

Goelzer Envelopes is seeking an experienced Envelope Converting Adjuster to set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and optimize high‑speed equipment. This role aims to maximize efficiency, maintain quality, support smooth changeovers, and reduce downtime.

Responsibilities include setup for production runs, troubleshooting issues, training operators, inspecting finished products, and coordinating with maintenance and quality teams to improve uptime while following all safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience adjusting envelope converting equipment preferred.
• Experience with envelope, print, paper converting, or packaging manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of W+D or F.L. Smithe or similar equipment strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust envelope converting equipment for production runs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and operational issues during production.
• Optimize machine speeds while maintaining product quality and consistency.
• Perform changeovers and fine adjustments for folds, gum, windows, seams, and related specs.
• Train and assist machine operators on setup, adjustments, quality checks, and safety.
• Inspect finished product to ensure customer specifications and internal quality standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams to improve uptime and performance.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout requirements, and production procedures.
