Job summary

WellSpan Health in Lebanon, PA is seeking an Environmental Services Technician I to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other hospital areas. The role supports the environmental services department by lifting, moving, and relocating furniture, furnishings, and equipment as needed.

The position runs Full Time: 80 Hours/Biweekly with hours from 2:45pm to 11:15pm and requires every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English at a level that enables the individual to perform the functions of the job satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of the Environmental Services Technician I.
• Buffs, strips, waxes and polishes floors.
• Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required.
• Moves, removes, and relocates furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc. as directed.
• Shampoos rugs and furniture. Cleans vents, fans, and other equipment using vacuum machines.
• Operates mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, and vacuums.
• Sets up chairs and tables, etc. for special events and folds and stores them after the event.
• Moves large items in and out of storage.
• Performs custodial/housekeeping duties as assigned when not involved in moving projects.
• Assists in handing drapes and dividers and takes them down for cleaning.
