Job summary

Mid-America Overseas, Inc. in Itasca, IL seeks an experienced freight forwarder to process US customs entries and coordinate air and ocean shipments from door to door. This role interacts with customs, carriers, customers, and vendors to ensure accurate documentation and on-time delivery.

The position requires 3+ years in freight forwarding, strong communication and organization. A Customs House Broker license is not required but a plus, and knowledge of Cargowise Software is desirable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Entry writing and Freight Forwarding industry experience.
• Customs House Broker License not required but a plus.
• Position requires working directly with customs, other government agencies, carriers, customers, vendors and all related parties concerning the export process.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of Cargowise Software a plus.

Responsibilities
