Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking an entry-level Switchgear Tech 1 for 2nd Shift (conversion temp to perm) in Durham, NC. The role focuses on assembly and fabrication of switchgear, wiring, and panel installation, from component level to finished product.

Responsibilities include reading electrical drawings, using hand tools, and aligning with onboarding training requirements. The position requires attention to measurements and quality workmanship in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read electrical drawings/schematics.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Able to read a tape measure.
• Successfully complete the onboarding training program.

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchgear from component level to finished product.
• Assemble low voltage, medium voltage and controls panels.
• Build structure, wire the back pan and doors, and install breakers.
• Coordinate wiring and panel installation with quality workmanship.
