Job summary

PowerSecure in Durham, NC is seeking an entry-level Switchgear Tech 1 (conversion from temporary to permanent) to assemble switchgear, wire back panels and install breakers. You will build from component level to finished product, including LV, MV and control panels, following drawings and manufacturing specs.

Ideal candidates read electrical drawings, are proficient with hand tools, can read a tape measure to 1/16 inch, and complete onboarding training successfully.

Qualifications

• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
• Proficient with hand tools
• Able to read a tape measure and other measuring devices
• Successfully complete the onboarding training program

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchgear from component level to finished product
• Wire back panel, doors, and install breakers
• Assemble LV, MV and control panels and ensure wiring quality
