PowerSecure in Durham, NC is seeking an entry-level Switchgear Tech 1 (conversion from temporary to permanent) to assemble switchgear, wire back panels and install breakers. You will build from component level to finished product, including LV, MV and control panels, following drawings and manufacturing specs.
Ideal candidates read electrical drawings, are proficient with hand tools, can read a tape measure to 1/16 inch, and complete onboarding training successfully.

This position is the entry level position for individuals responsible for the assembly and fabrication of switchgear. This position includes building the structure, wiring the back pan and doors, and assembling the bus and installation of the breakers. The focus of this position is the assembly of switchgear from the component level to completed product. This position includes the assembly of low voltage, medium voltage and controls panels.
