Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred; Certification a plus.
• Six (6)+ months of training & close supervision in position.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs occasionally, and 20 lbs regularly.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and travelers.
• Must be able to work overtime to meet operation needs.
• Clear communication in English and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Move, organize, and inspect coil.
• Operate crane, end facer, OTO saw, and/or cross-roll straightener.
• Perform the splicing process and/or crush test.
• Set up end welder; assist in mill changeovers.
• Cut material to specific tolerance; size and straighten pipe.
• Make adjustments to CRS rolls for setups and crooked pipe.
• Bundle pipe, unload trucks, and operate forklift.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment.
