Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring for the 2026/27 winter season. Ski Patrol roles promote guest safety and respond to incidents on the mountain, working in challenging alpine conditions.

Starting wage ranges from $21.51 to $25.30 per hour, with both full-time and part-time shifts available. Candidates must be expert alpine skiers and have a Colorado EMT certification, plus fluent English and strong guest service.

Qualifications

• Pass resort Ski Patrol sponsored ski test
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Must have excellent guest service skills
• Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment
• Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment
• Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions
• Must be an EXPERT ALPINE SKIER
• Must have a Current Colorado EMT certification or higher level

• Assist injured guests on the mountain
• Maintain trails, including closures, safety materials, avalanche mitigation, and other impacts from the natural environment

The expected pay range is $21.51/hr - $25.30/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
