Job summary

Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC (AMS) is seeking an Entry Level RF Datalink Development Engineer in Huntsville, AL to join our diverse team, tackling RF datalinks, modeling, simulation, and testing. The role involves hardware/software prototyping, waveform development, and integration with firmware teams to optimize modulation and error correction.

You will perform link-budget analyses, antenna and RF component integration, and hands-on lab and field testing to validate range and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Graduating GPA of 3.5+.
• 0–5 years of experience.
• Strong math and fundamentals in electromagnetics, signals and systems, DSP, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Model, simulate, and analyze RF datalinks.
• Prototype hardware and software for RF datalink tech.
• Design and simulate end-to-end communication systems and perform detailed link-budget analyses.
• Select/integrate RF components (antennas, PAs, LNAs, filters, mixers, datalink modems).
• Develop waveform and protocol with firmware/embedded teams for modulation and error correction.
• Lead lab testing with spectrum/network analyzers and channel simulators; conduct field testing.
