Job summary

SimTech, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an RF Engineer at entry to mid-level to join a diverse team supporting DoD programs. You will design, build, test, and evaluate RF sensor and seeker hardware, applying MATLAB and Python for data analysis and algorithm development.

The role involves lab and field testing, use of VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and anechoic chambers, and close collaboration with engineers and analysts to validate performance and meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 4–10 years of relevant RF engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of RADAR systems in missile seeker tech.
• Experience with coherent waveform modulations (LFM, Barker, BPSK).
• Experience with magnetron/solid-state transmitter systems.
• Ability to develop and interpret requirements, data sets, and specs.
• Calibrate RF hardware and perform radar-level assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced RF/microwave hardware for RF Sensor and Seeker systems.
• Perform lab and field testing and data analysis.
• Support DoD RF characterization and define new RF generation systems.
• Conduct RF hardware testing in laboratory and field environments.
• Use VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and anechoic chambers.
• Analyze measured data and compare to expected performance.
