Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. This role supports schedules, budgets, forecasting and performance reporting on projects of basic complexity.

You will work under supervision with project managers and teams, develop time‑phased cost forecasts, monitor progress, and prepare routine financial and status reports. Domestic travel may be required; a Bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 0 years of experience minimum; equivalent entry-level candidates welcome.
• Familiarity with government/federal project controls is a plus.
• Domestic and international travel may be required.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and EcoSys preferred.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and updates project data.
• Develops time-phased schedules and forecasts.
• Generates earned value reports and cost status updates.
• Assists with cost control, risk analysis and basic financial reports.
• Documents changes and maintains project documentation.
