Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team in a hybrid role. You will help track schedules, budgets and resources, partnering with project managers to provide essential performance insights.

Ideal candidates possess basic project management knowledge, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Primavera and EcoSys. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent related experience.
• Entry-level knowledge of project management methodologies and finance concepts.
• Able to work in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and federal regulations; updates project progress.
• Develops and maintains integrated schedules for routine projects.
• Generates earned value reports and discusses observations with PM.
• Performs routine financial analyses and documents cost changes as needed.
• Uses document management protocols to store and retrieve project docs.
• Performs other duties as required.
