Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team on a hybrid schedule. You will help monitor schedule progress, costs, and resources for projects of basic complexity, working with project managers and teams to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.

The role emphasizes earned value reporting, data integrity, and collaboration in a federal contracting environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements and/or eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.
• Entry level knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts and practices.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and gathers project progress information to update and monitor basic complexity projects.
• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports for basic projects and discusses observations with supervisor.
• Uses document management protocols to store and retrieve project documentation.
