Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Associate PCB CAD Specialist in San Diego to build and manage PCB library data across Xpedition and Cadence Allegro, aligning with manufacturing standards and Qualcomm guidelines.

You will collaborate with electrical and mechanical design teams to translate schematics and specs into reliable PCB layouts for diverse products, while learning the CAD tools and documenting fabrication drawings.

Qualifications

• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical constraint drawings.
• Basic understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) requirements and electrical specifications.
• Ability to read specifications and learn quickly on the job.

Responsibilities

• Learn and develop expertise with the CAD tools used at Qualcomm: Xpedition, Allegro, Blueprint-based downstream tools to create PCB fabrication docs.
• Communicate progress and issues via e-mail and Teams, including regular status reports and slides.
• Understand project goals and individual contributions toward those goals.
• Review component specs to build accurate library databases and coordinate with engineering leads.
• Maintain coordination with engineering teams and resolve design issues following processes.
