Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego seeks a Staff Engineer to support the Central Hardware Systems PCB CAD team.

You will deploy tools globally, automate processes, provide design services, and evaluate new EDA tools across Cadence Allegro, Siemens Xpedition, and related platforms. Responsibilities include end-to-end schematic and layout flows, DFM analysis, and scripting in VB Script/Python/Java to optimize PCB design and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience with PCB design flows, schematic and layout tools.
• Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with PCB stack-up development and controlled impedance.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end knowledge of schematic and layout design flows.
• Maintain coordination with Engineering and CAD; resolve PCB design issues.
• Evaluate PCB design trade-offs to meet project goals and timelines.
