Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Entry-Level Technical Engineer for the Automation & Deployment Team in Colorado. You will work with OpenShift, Rundeck automation, and Windows/Linux systems in secure environments, under senior engineers' mentorship, to deploy, operate, and sustain mission-critical systems.

This role offers hands-on experience with cloud and container technologies, security-compliant infrastructure, and a clear career path in a collaborative, high-performance team dedicated to space

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain/maintain clearance (SCI preferred).
• 3+ years of infrastructure engineering, platform operations, or system administration experience (internships/co-ops/academic projects valuable).
• Basic Windows and Linux troubleshooting across compute, networking, storage, and platform services.
• Understanding of security best practices, system hardening, and audit readiness.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support OpenShift Operations – deployment, configuration, and day-to-day management of OpenShift clusters in secure networks.
• Execute Rundeck Runbooks – automated workflows for deployments and incident response.
• System Administration – patching, configuration updates, and troubleshooting on Windows and Linux.
• Incident Assistance – participate in outage investigations and log gathering.
• Security & Compliance – follow controls and support audit activities in classified environments.
