Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in neurodiagnostics or similar direct patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs electroencephalograms and portable EEGs, applying electrodes and calibrating equipment.
• May perform ambulatory EEG monitoring and other modality testing as needed.
• Prepares patients, gathers history, informs patients and families about procedures.
• Follows lab standards, adjusts controls and records optimal recordings.
• Identifies artifacts, documents and mitigates them as needed.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues and reports to supervisor.
• Performs clerical duties including scheduling, archiving, and charge entry.
• Assists in patient positioning and transport, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care across life span per department policies.
