Gore is seeking a Process Engineer for its Medical Packaging Team in Elkton, Maryland. The role focuses on equipment monitoring, repair, and ensuring a steady flow of quality materials with cross‑functional collaboration.

Hybrid work is possible, and the pay range is $85,000–$110,000 per year. You will support manufacturing, define schedules for validation and continuous improvement, and implement new equipment and materials while applying structured problem-solving to ensure quality and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required.
• Proven capability to use DoE, validation methodologies and lean manufacturing.
• Structured problem-solving approaches (DMAIC, PDCA, 5-Why, Fishbone) are expected.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills across engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

Responsabilités

• Provide support for manufacturing of new and existing packages, ensuring stable, capable, and compliant processes.
• Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, and New Product Development Integrators to define and execute project schedules for validation and continuous improvement of product quality, process capability, ergonomics, safety, environmental impact, and cost.
• Identify, characterize, and control critical process inputs to ensure reliable delivery of products meeting all specifications and quality system requirements.
• Specify, procure, and implement new equipment and materials.
• Identify technical uncertainties, apply engineering fundamentals, and drive resolution of technical challenges using structured methodologies.
• Apply formal problem-solving techniques to investigate nonconformances, raw material issues, and component failures; develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
