Job summary

Gore is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ facility. You will join a cross-functional team to design, develop, and commercialize medical devices, applying DFMA and industry standards.

Hybrid work arrangement in the United States is available. The role requires extensive SolidWorks modeling, mold flow analysis, and GD&T expertise, with opportunities to document designs for IP protection and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science with 15+ years of engineering/R&D experience.
• SolidWorks modeling and Simulation experience with CSWP certification.
• Proficiency with mold flow analysis software (MoldFlow, Moldex3D).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and commercialize innovative medical devices with DFMA.
• Contribute to cross-functional core teams and drive risk reduction.
• Document designs using standards: ISO 10993, 21 CFR 820, ASME Y14.5.
• File invention disclosures with IP/legal teams.
• Maintain CAD, GD&T, tolerance analyses, and FEA expertise.
• Deliver design packages with specs, CAD models, material sets, and data.
• Interface with suppliers to communicate design needs.
• Support product lines through tech transfers and CAPAs.
• Apply structured problem-solving to root-cause design issues.
• Understand Gore device portfolio and manufacturing methods.
