Armstrong Group is seeking an entry-level Construction Lineman to join our team in Butler. The role involves constructing aerial and buried coax, copper, and fiber optic cables, following Armstrong practices, with overnight travel as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must possess a positive attitude, a strong work-ethic, and a desire to learn.
• DOT medical card (can get one after receiving an offer).
• Overnight travel required.

Responsibilities

• Competent pole and ladder climbing skills.
• Works aloft utilizing climbing gaffs, ladders, and mechanical lifts.
• Operates company vehicles and equipment including bucket trucks, fork lifts, backhoes/trenchers, and other machines.
• Works outdoors in the elements.
• Reads network design prints.
• Accurately maintains daily log sheet and inventory paperwork.
• Knowledge of NESC construction guidelines and Armstrong construction practices.
• Follows all Armstrong safety policies.
• Maintains vehicles and machines to Armstrong standards.
• Other assigned tasks
