Job summary

Ethan Allen Global, Inc. in Vermont is seeking a capable woodworker to set up and operate a range of woodworking machines. You will cut, rip, match, glue and inspect surface lumber to routing specifications to maximize yield, while removing defects using standard woodworking equipment.

No prior experience is required; a high school diploma and the ability to learn after 90 days of training are expected. Safety, accuracy and the ability to read routing sheets are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• No experience necessary.
• Ability to set up & operate multiple machines after 90 days training.
• Ability to read standard routing sheets after 90 days training.
• Basic math with an emphasis on fractions and conversions.
• Understanding of lumber species and grade specifications to achieve maximum yield after 90 days training.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines to cut, rip, match, glue and inspect surface lumber to routing specifications to achieve maximum yield.
• Remove defects using woodworking machinery.
