Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking an entry-level Wind Technician I for Meadow Lake Wind Farm, Chalmers, IN. You will perform on-site operations, maintenance, repairs and equipment replacement, including LOTO procedures, inspections, and documentation to support safe turbine operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school education preferred.
• 1–2 years relevant wind energy experience (preferred).
• Strong mechanical background, gearing-related.
• Understanding of Microsoft products and complementary tools.
• Experience with wind plant operations and turbines, HV switching, and post-operational repair (preferred).
• Willingness to pass background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbines and related plant equipment.
• Identify safety risks and implement mitigation.
• Document work using service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with Remote Operations Control Center for remote operations.
• Participate in on-site training and adhere to internal controls.
• Perform inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities for compliance.
