Job summary

PCI Federal (PCIF) is seeking an entry-level Welder I to join the fabrication team. Under supervision, you will set up and operate welding equipment, read blueprints, and join metal components.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety and quality standards, with responsibilities across cutting, assembly, and minor fabrication tasks. A background in welding and ability to work in a production environment are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of welding experience.
• Welding certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of welding machines, tools, and metallurgy.
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints and follow instructions.
• Must pass on-site welding assessment.
• Good manual dexterity and sharp visual/hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs, or work orders to plan welding operations.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and jigs.
• Adjust welding current and timing for bonding temperature.
• Clamp and align work pieces using fixtures, vises, or magnets.
• Inspect seams for defects and rework as needed.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and cleaning routines.
• Follow safety, quality, and ISO procedures.
